Winter Wedding

Color Themes:

• Silver, White & Blue
• Wine, Forest Green & Silver (White or Gold work well too)
• Silver & Gold
• Crimson & Cream

Decoration Ideas:

White lights or Icicle lights can add an elegant flair to the reception hall (particularly outside).
Decorate Evergreen trees (Christmas trees) in your color theme color. If the wedding is a winter wedding but you do not want to decorate like you would for Christmas- use a color theme other than Red & Green.

Luau Wedding

Color Themes:

• Fuchsia, Purple, Yellow, Orange, Green, Red (Bright colors) These colors make for an exciting bouquet!
• Yellow & Red
• Yellow & Pink

Decoration Ideas:

• Have this wedding at the beach or poolside to add atmosphere.
• Put up Tiki torch lights (if the reception will go on into the night)
• Bright flower arrangements

Beach Weddings

Color Themes:

• Apricot & Cream
• Blues
• Ocean, Sand, Sunset colors

Decoration Ideas:

• Use sand and seashells in a decorative wooden box for centerpieces.
• Seashell motif items
• Seashell frame (or metal with seashell imprints) with the couple’s picture
• Candles with seashells in them or around the base
• For the bride and bridesmaids, use pearls for part of your attire. A pearl tiara for the bride, pearl earrings and/or necklaces for bridesmaids, and maybe pearls sewn to the bride’s dress or veil (pearls don’t have to be real.)

Evening Weddings

Color Themes:

• Silver & Iridescent Blue
  
• Silver & Burgundy or Wine
  
• Cream & Burgundy or Wine

Decoration Ideas:

Weather permitting, hold the reception outside and let the sunset and starry sky be the decorations.
If held inside, try having low lighting but decorating with white Christmas lights and Candles.

Renaissance or Medieval Wedding

Color Themes:

• Hunter Green & Burgundy

• Peach, Green & Cream

Decoration Ideas:

If a spring or summer time wedding and you can hold it outside- do! Let nature do most of the decorating. Having a May Pole can be fun. Also, having flower garlands in the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and flower girl’s hair is a very nice touch. If a winter time wedding, use dark, rich fabrics for the wedding party’s attire. Light the hall with many, many candles.

Asian Theme Weddings

Color Themes:

• Red, Gold, White
  
• Lavender, White/Cream, Bamboo Green (as an accent)

Decoration Ideas:

Use Cultural items for Centerpieces and decorations, such as covered rice bowls or mini lantern lights for centerpieces. Have rice paper lamps or Chinese lanterns for lights. Use Irises and Lilies for flower decorations.

Christmas Wedding

Color Themes:

Decoration Ideas:

• Nutcracker Theme--Nutcrackers have an elegant and official air about them. If your reception is very formal but you want to have something Christmas related and a little fun- decorating with nutcrackers might be a good idea.
  
• Gingerbread--Have a gingerbread replica made of the church you were married in. This would work really well if the church had stained glass windows. The gingerbread church could have candy stained glass windows.
